The Brave Redesign

One Room.

Bold Updates.

Intentional Living.

Every transformation starts with one brave step. With The Brave Redesign, we focus on updating a single space at a time, bringing fresh energy and creativity without the overwhelm of a full renovation.

First, pick a room.

It could be the spot that greets you every day, your entryway. Maybe it’s the bedroom you’ve been meaning to make more restful, or a home office that needs inspiration. Even the smallest nook can become something special.

Next comes the design session.

Together, we’ll reimagine your space, exploring creative solutions that fit your style, your budget, and the way you live. Sometimes it’s as simple as a new paint color, different lighting, or a smarter furniture layout.

Then comes the transformation.

Due a significant amount of preplanning the transformation portion will happen within a 2–3-week time period, depending on the space. This is where the wallpaper gets installed, the banquette gets placed, the walls get painted, or new furniture meets their new home.

One room. One brave redesign that makes a big impact.

Brave Refresh

  • Sometimes it only takes a few thoughtful changes to breathe new life into a space. With the Brave Refresh, we focus on small, budget-friendly updates that instantly shift the look and feel of your room. This might mean a fresh coat of paint to brighten the walls, layering in new textiles for warmth, or re-styling shelves and surfaces with curated décor pieces. The Brave Refresh is about maximizing what you already have and adding just enough new touches to make your room feel intentional, polished, and inviting, without the stress of a major overhaul

Brave Upgrade

  • The Brave Upgrade takes things a step further. Here, we introduce key anchor pieces that redefine your space, a sofa that finally fits the room, a dining table that pulls everyone together, or a desk that makes working from home enjoyable. We pair these larger swaps with new lighting to set the mood and highlight the best features of your space. To finish, a statement wall, whether through bold paint, wallpaper, or texture, adds personality and creates a true focal point. This package is ideal if you’re ready to invest a little more for a transformation that’s stylish, functional, and lasting.

Rooted in People

Inspired by Spaces

Over the years my career has been focused in the areas of therapy, leadership roles, and organizational development for companies, while design has been a creative outlet for me. I love working with people, especially people who choose to do brave healing work, whether for personal or professional reasons. I also love creating beautiful spaces. Both processes allow me to ask questions to help you either determine the direction of your life, your space, or often both.

I am passionate about helping others transform their homes into spaces they can truly grow to love. My approach to design is highly visual, and I often find myself enjoying the process of resourcing, reimagining layouts, and problem-solving, just as much as the final reveal (sounds a bit like therapy).

I’m drawn to a healthy mix of old and new, cozy and functional. I believe in adding individual style and personality through details and in putting in my own sweat equity. I genuinely enjoy rolling up my sleeves, whether that’s cutting trim, refinishing wood, or building furniture pieces (with the help of my assistant, also known as my husband Eli).

My hope is to help others find courage in creating spaces that inspire, restore, because in the end, it’s not about perfection, it’s about building spaces that reflect who you are and what home means to you.

  • Do you offer installation or handyman services?

Installation services are offered only as part of a design project. This includes elements such as wallpaper, trim, shelving, painting, general construction, and other design details that complete your space. I do not provide standalone handyman services or general repairs outside of a design engagement.

  • After our initial discovery call or visit, I’ll create a custom contract based on your project selection and timeline. Because every project is uniquely designed and tailored to your space, the total investment is determined by the scope and level of customization involved.

  • Once we complete our discovery call and you choose to move forward, here’s what happens next:

    • Within one week, I will send you a formal design contract. This contract will outline the scope of the redesign based on our discussion and any specific requests you made. It will include an estimated project timeline, tailored to both your schedule (including any family or personal constraints you shared) and my current availability.

    • After you review and sign the contract, we’ll begin the work according to the agreed start date. We’ll coordinate key milestones (concept drafts, revisions, and final delivery) around your availability and life rhythm, so it feels manageable and aligned with your reality.

    • Throughout the project, I’ll provide regular updates and touchpoints to keep you informed and engaged, ensuring we stay aligned with your vision and timeline.

  • I work primarily along the St. Croix Valley between Minnesota and Wisconsin. I also service the majority of the Twin Cities area. Longer commutes will be calculated into the projects budget and timeline.

  • Most projects I like to try and do as much as possible myself and may have an assistant or two to help me along the way. However, I do contract out when required or necessary and will identify this in the contract or if the need arises.
